The Legislative Council Committee examining the Reproductive Health (Access to Terminations) Bill tabled its Final Report on Wednesday 13th November 2013.

The Report reflects the support given to the Bill by the medical and legal experts appearing throughout the hearings.

WLS is especially pleased to see that the Committee has found that the inclusion of an access zone provision is justified.

WLS believes that whilst people should always have the opportunity to speak out against issues they disagree with it is our firm opinion that there are appropriate times and places to do so. Protests outside of clinics providing termination of pregnancy services are an unacceptable assault on individuals and have been shown to cause long lasting effects on women accessing those clinics and as such they are unacceptable.
