The Tasmanian Government has published Tasmania’s response to the National Plan including a Tasmanian Implementation Plan for the first Action Plan: Building a Strong Foundation 2010-2013 and Taking Action: Tasmania’s Primary Prevention Strategy to Reduce Violence Against Women and Children 2012-2022.
The National Plan to Reduce Violence against Women and their Children is the Australian call to action to ensure that everyone can live safe and free from violence.
It involves both State and Federal governments working together with the community sector to create initiatives or build on existing programs to prevent violence, raise awareness of the impact violence has on women and children, provide support for victims and further develop perpetrator intervention programs.
