Girls Gotta Know goes to the Melbourne Design Awards

Women’s Legal Service Tasmania is proud to announce the inclusion of the Girls Gotta Know mobile app in the shortlist for the Melbourne Design Awards 2013 in the Digital Experience category.  The Melbourne Design Awards are open to designers, studios and commissioners of design in Melbourne – home to our Girls Gotta Know creative director and designer Simone Colburt of Kontrast Design.

Established in 2009, the Melbourne Design Award is part of the City Design Award series, with parallel competitions running in both Brisbane and Sydney, and awards across a range of design disciplines such as product, digital, architecture, graphic, textile, fashion, advertising, food, experience and publications.

The Digital Experience award celebrates innovation and creativity in design, with consideration given to matching the design of the product to the audience as well as how clearly the intended information is presented.  With judging commencing on September 9, Women’s Legal Service Tasmania will be keenly following the results, with the five finalists in each category being announced on September 12, ahead of the announcement of the winners at an awards night in late October.

Public voting has now commenced – see the Melbourne Design Awards 2013 website for further details on how to register your vote for Girls Gotta Know.
