Today we welcomed the launch of Tasmania’s Family Violence Plan, “Safe Homes, Safe Families” which will inject almost $26 million in to the effort to reduce family violence in the Tasmanian community.
The plan which can be viewed here, looks to lead the nation in the provision of funding and programs across all areas from education in schools, to perpetrator programs, legal assistance and support services.
We welcome the plan as the right step forward in combatting family violence.
